Set og:title, og:description, og:image for every page. Use 1200x630px images. Proper social tags improve CTR from shares.
Use a tool like Placid.app or Cloudinary to auto-generate unique OG images with the page title overlaid on a branded template. This scales to hundreds of pages without manual design work.
In Rank Math: Rank Math > Titles & Meta > set default OG templates using variables. In Yoast: Yoast SEO > Social > set defaults per post type. For custom sites: add og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, and og:type meta tags to your HTML head template.
Use Canva (free) to create OG images at exactly 1200x630 pixels. Include: article title in large text, your brand logo, and a relevant visual. Keep text minimal — it should be readable as a thumbnail. Save as JPG for smaller file size.
Go to developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ and enter your URL. It shows how your page will appear when shared on Facebook and LinkedIn. For Twitter: use cards-dev.twitter.com/validator. Fix any missing or incorrectly sized images.
Each page should have its own OG image with relevant visuals. Using the same generic image across all pages looks unprofessional in social feeds and reduces click-through from social shares. Auto-generation tools can help scale this.
