Monitor indexing status, crawl errors, keyword performance, and security issues. Submit sitemaps and track which queries drive traffic.
Use the "Domain" property type instead of "URL prefix" if possible — it captures all subdomains (www, blog, shop) and both HTTP/HTTPS in a single property.
Visit search.google.com/search-console and sign in with the Google account you want to manage the site with.
Click "Add property" in the top-left dropdown. Choose between two types:
Google needs to confirm you own this website. Choose the method that's easiest for you:
Go to Sitemaps in the left sidebar, enter your sitemap URL (usually /sitemap.xml), and click Submit. This tells Google about all your important pages.
